Who We Are
Victoria Finance Plc is a Tanzanian financial services institution dedicated to making finance more accessible, practical and inclusive. Licensed as a Tier 2 microfinance institution and regulated by the Bank of Tanzania, the Company serves individuals, micro and small enterprises, SACCOS, farmers, women, youth and underserved communities. Incorporated in 2009 and operational since 2 May 2010, Victoria Finance is also listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange under the Acceleration Window as a non-trading company.
Over the years, the Company has grown from a specialised microfinance provider into an inclusive financial services group serving low- and middle-income earners across Tanzania. Its solutions include agriculture, business, group, consumer, education and housing-related loans, alongside women-focused products and microinsurance-linked services. These offerings are designed to support livelihoods, strengthen small businesses and improve household resilience.
To broaden its customer value proposition, Victoria Finance established Victoria Insurance Brokers Limited in 2017 as a wholly owned subsidiary, offering life and non-life insurance brokerage services. Victoria Finance has expanded its footprint across Dar es Salaam, Coast, Mbeya, Morogoro, Mtwara and Dodoma, with branches and service points in key locations including Kijitonyama, Mbezi, Madibira, Morogoro and Dakawa. It also maintains a strong rural presence in districts such as Kibaha, Bagamoyo, Kilosa, Mbeya, Mkuranga, Tandahimba, Newala and Rungwe.
Victoria Finance continues to invest in digital innovation, operational efficiency and impact-driven growth. Its KilimoPesa platform supports agricultural value chains such as cashew nuts, sunflower, lentils, coffee, tea, cloves, sesame, cocoa and dairy across multiple regions. Through responsible lending, rural outreach and long-term customer partnerships, Victoria Finance remains committed to creating sustainable value for customers, shareholders and the communities it serves.
